Don't Get Lost in the Woods, Grande Prairie, AB: All skill levels welcome! Don't worry, you won't actually get lost (unless you don't follow the signs or you jump v-boards)! The courses are set on the trails of the Wapiti Nordic XCountry Ski Centre - located in beautiful Grande Prairie, AB - South on Hwy 40 and Twp Rd 704A). Each course is set on dirt, sand, and forest trails and encompasses a combination of both challenging and rolling hills. The course is suitable for spikes or flats.

Run with the Wolves, Grande Prairie, AB: Our annual Run with the Wolves event is a fall tradition that brings together schools across the Peace Region to participate in a fun community event. The event encourages our Wolf Pups - students in kindergarten to grade 12 - to lace up and enjoy the scenic trails of Wapiti Nordic Centre, all in support of NWP Wolves Athletics. Check with your local school if they will be attending.

Our plan is simple: grab your running buddies (we’re sure you have a few!), head out on a self-timed 5K loop through the amazing Nitehawk Trails, and when you cross the finish line, you’ll get to choose one of our epic leftover medals.

Rolling through the foothills, this rugged and rewarding course showcases the raw beauty of the region and delivers an unforgettable trail-running experience.
Runners can choose from 20K, 40K, or 60K distances, with solo or relay team options available.

The 21 mountain peak hiking incentive program is divided into Bronze, Silver & Gold categories, depending on the level of difficulty to reach the summits.
